Why do we aerate greens?
Aeration alleviates soil compaction and the buildup of organic matter under the root bed by creating more air space in the soil profile. This is achieved with machines that produce holes in the soil and remove cores. Aeration allows water and essential nutrients to pass through more effectively to the root system which promotes deeper root growth and healthy turf grass.
