The Jack O’Keefe Junior Golf Foundation has been created to introduce and teach the game of golf to juniors in the Santa Maria Valley. Tax-deductible donations to the foundation are used to hold junior golf clinics and fun events, which introduce and encourage golf as a lifetime sport to kids ages 6 to 14. This program is led by professional instructors who teach golf mechanics, strategy, and rules. Juniors learn life skills and values including integrity, respect, patience, discipline, and etiquette.
The Jack O’Keefe Junior Golf Foundation is in memoriam to Jack O’Keefe who devoted his life to the game of golf and played it at the highest level. He was one of the founders of Rancho Maria Golf Club where he was the Head Professional and General Manager for 50 years. Jack was a big advocate of junior golf and was committed to enriching the lives of youth through the game of golf. The foundation hopes to continue this support of junior golf through donations to the foundation that will directly support junior golf clinics and fun events in the Santa Maria Valley.
